PANIC! ...NOW! MAYBE... NOT YET?
...new features can be scary

Just as the title says, these are some fun little sketchies of what I believe are all the 'official' couples from Life Noir.
In case you can't read the convenient text in the pic: 1. 1. Remy Bruyere and Fiona Muirenn The Cajun Detective and the Irish mobster heiress that foolishly(?) fell in love. For obvious reasons, they both put off their strong natural attraction, but at last decided to give themselves a shot. Inspiration song: [link] Come What May from Moulin Rouge. 2. Charlie Wallenstein and Dorothy Byrd The Shamus and the speakeasy singer that somehow managed to fall in love despite immense differences of status, an initial dislike, a strong personal boundaries. Inspiration Song: [link] You Belong to Me by Jason Wade. 3. Alanna Greensbury and Lance Knightley Childhood sweethearts who lost touch after the war, breaking her heart and setting him into an unhappy lifestyle, shockingly met again through circumstance and gave love another shot. Inspiration song: [link] Nothing Better by Postal Service. 4. Ben Goldberg and Dorothy Byrd A couple that were interrupted from going home together by discovering a dead body. They started to grow close, but their romance was ended by miscommunication and bad timing, with both walking away with wounded feelings. Inspiration song: [link] Crush by David Archuleta 5. Fiona Muirenn and Lance Knightley The one-night-stand that never was. They shared an immediate attraction, went on an exciting date, but when he discovered that she was hiding a gun in her garter, the thrill was gone. Inspiration song: [link] Nutmeg Fantasy by Macy Gray. 6. Jack Weathersby and Fiona Muirenn A whirlwind, off-and-on romance that culminated in a deep love that just wouldnt work, with he being a world-exploring adventurer and she being a city-rooted business woman. They ended when he asked her to marry him and she declined, but there still lingers a deep attachment between them. Inspiration song: [link] I Wish You Love by Michael Buble. 7. Hugh Jenkins and Josephine Levard A pair that met by chance, Jo was instantly attracted to the tall, muscular, and adorably easy-to-make-blush Hugh at first introduction. They started semi-dating, but unfortunately Jo has a habit of 8. Ben Goldberg and Josephine Levard Rivals/friends/whatever the situation calls for. Met for years ago in competition for a job at the New York Times, indulged in a one-night-tryst, and have had a constantly changing relationship ever since. Though they seem more likely to attack each other with pencil sharpeners than to start necking, there seems to be an underlying thing between them. Inspiration song: [link] Romanticide by Tal Bachman 9. Brigit Muirenn and Patrick OKeefe An 18-year-old mobster thug and a 30-year-old gun dealer. Brigit was instantly attracted to Patrick, and he struggled to fend off the far-from subtle attentions for moral and personal safety reasons (thinking of her mob family that he works with) but eventually she managed to coerce him into a date, and the fans were flamed from there. Inspiration song: [link] You Belong to my Heart by Dora Luz. |

Jadeling--this is the coolest! When I saw it, my eyes popped--so much love! *fans herself*
You put in so much time, not only in the sketches (and collecting reference for the sketches--I know how long that takes!), but in compiling everything, selecting songs, summarizing, really thinking about the story and the characters... wow, it really inspires an appreciation for the game, and how each one of these fun relationships is COMPLETELY unique and different.
My favorite sketch/summary combo? Brigit and Pat.
Now I'm going to listen to all the songs--how great! And I'm glad you put in some Lancelanna love and wow... even Lance and Fiona! What could have been!
I had so much fun doing this, just as I have had in helping guide and make the game. It's just such a rich story...and the many different romances and relationships definitely lives up to that!
What I particularly love about this game is that it totally lives up to its name...it takes the archetypes from the Film Noir/Pulp Fiction genre and shows what it would actually be like to live their lives. The Life Noir
And yes, Brigit/Pat are much fun

But I can tell that you love all of them. I particularly love Lance kissing Alanna's nose!
